Today is great day in Pennsylvania for First Responders.

State Representative Schlossberg' s House Bill (H.B)1459 "First Responder Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) Support, passed and will establish a statewide support system for first responders suffering from PTSI.

H.B. 1459 is a great first step in curbing the pandemic of first responder suicide. Now we need to pass H.B. 432 to complete the support system. 432 will provide compensation for treatment and lost time at work. Currently all workers in PA. are covered for PTSI under Workman's Comp with the exception of First Responders.

Just shy of a decade. And I’m sure it’s because of budget or people on city council who have never even seen the inside of a fire truck making decisions 🤦🏻‍♂️
