Good Morning,

Below is a link to a video explaining our new PPO plan and wellness incentive program. Please pay close attention to the end of the video where wellness incentive items are shown. The City has implemented a wellness incentive program for employees and spouses. In order to continue paying .5% of the healthcare premium for 2022, both you and your spouse will have to complete annual wellness requirements and submit documentation of completion. Attached is a wellness form to be completed by both you and your spouse. Submission of wellness requirements are to be received by Human Resources no later than December 1, 2021. For 2021, the wellness requirements are the mandatory Teladoc registration (you and your spouse must register separately) plus 3 of the of wellness items listed on the attached form and video. Teladoc registration is only done once, therefore 2022 wellness requirements will be completion of only 3 of the wellness items to continue paying the lower healthcare premium for the following year.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you know the errors in Eden have been corrected to the correct bi-weekly deduction as per the CBA.  However, since we had Eden Payroll issues the first deduction was not taken out on the pay of 01/15/21.  Including the pay of 01/29/21, we have 25 pay periods left this year.  I have spread the missed deduction over the 25 pays so it’s going to be a couple of dollars more.  Here are the bi-weekly deduction amounts for the remainder of the year:

  • Employee Only        =        $29.12
  • Employee/Spouse    =       $58.24
  • Employee/Child       =       $38.38
  • Employee/Children =        $47.78
  • Employee/Family     =        $68.64

I also ran a report in Eden to confirm the names below were the only ones that had an incorrect bi-weekly deduction the pay of 01/15/21.  There were a total of 10 firefighters, all with the employee/family plan, that had a deduction of $30.46 instead of $66.  So they do not end up overpaying I adjusted their deduction for the pay of 01/29/21 to $38.18 and will begin the correct deduction of $68.64 the pay of 02/12/21.  Here are is the list of firefighters:

  • Kevin Baer
  • Trevor Beers
  • Andrew Drake
  • Jonas Gostonyi
  • Dustin Grow
  • William Held
  • Chad Long
  • Michael Machette
  • Aaron Pychinka
  • Michael Zellin

Have a good weekend.

Good afternoon,

Technical Issue

We have been made aware of a technical glitch that has impacted our payroll processing.   HR and Payroll have been working with our partners at Tyler Eden throughout the day today to try to resolve this issue as soon as possible.   We realize that a fix will not be in place in time to run the city payroll.   Our priority is for all employees to get paid on time and this issue was holding up our ability to finalize payroll.  A decision has been made to run this week’s payroll without the usual medical deductions.  This change will affect Fire and Non-Bargaining for this week’s pay only.

What this means

Your paycheck on Friday, January 15, 2021, will not include medical coverage deductions.   This will not impact your coverage, your insurance is still intact.   We will distribute the payment scheduled for this pay over the remaining 2021 pay periods.

Thank you in advance for your understanding as we work through this technical issue.

Best Regards,

Your HR and your Payroll Team
